Situated in the heart of Dorset and on the upper reaches of the River Piddle, the communities have a population of some 1,220 and lie predominantly along the B3143 and the River Piddle, from its source near Alton Pancras, southward through Piddletrenthide and White Lackington to Piddlehinton.
